Ways to help

Four fronts. Pick yours.

The fight over park history is happening in Congress, in federal courtrooms, on trails and in visitor centers, and online. Each one has a job for you. Not sure where things stand? Read the status report first.

In Congress

Cut off the money

Congress funds the Interior Department. A line in the FY2027 bill can bar any dollar from implementing Secretary's Order 3431. Fifty-three House members and two senators have already asked for it.

In the courts

Back the people suing

The nationwide case is on appeal; Philadelphia's is nearly out of road. Litigation is slow and expensive, and these groups are carrying it.

Document what is there

The government's own list of removals is "unlikely to capture every removal," an official admitted in court. Volunteers' photographs are the record.

Make it impossible to do quietly

Removals depend on nobody noticing. Every share, embed and subscriber raises the cost of the next one.

How much time do you have?

Of 35,700 people who answered the Park Service's own comment signs, about one in a thousand wanted the history removed. The rest of us just need to show up. Pick the tier that fits today.

Congress can defund this order. They need to hear from you.

Write to your representatives

We find your members of Congress and draft a letter asking them to bar funds for SO 3431 and back H.R. 8539. Edit it, copy it, or send by text with Resistbot (text RESIST to 50409).

Local papers still move members of Congress. NPCA's guide covers length, hooks and how to submit.

Save Our Signs

Photograph signs before they disappear

Shoot every panel, readable, no people in frame, and upload. Their map shows which parks still have gaps.

Find a park

Become a volunteer monitor

Trained stewards check parks, monuments and refuges for content that has been removed or altered and report it for the public record. We share your email only with the Sierra Club, which coordinates the monitors.
